Account creation and identity verification

Walk through creating your Local Lots profile, including identity verification via Plaid and linking your PayPal account for secure payments. Your safety and your neighbors' safety starts here.

Adding your lots and items

List items you would like to sell by uploading photos, writing descriptions, and setting minimum offer prices. We are testing how easy and intuitive this process feels end to end.

Registering for an upcoming event

Choose items for a neighborhood sale event, set preview timeslots so interested buyers can inspect items before making an offer, and share your event link with your social networks to drive interest.

Live event experience

Once your event goes live, monitor bids in real time, adjust minimum offers, and share links to your active lots. We are testing the seller dashboard and the overall making an offer experience.

Event closing and pickup coordination

When your event closes, accepted offers are confirmed via email. Sellers set pickup timeslots; buyers receive invoices and contact info after payment. We are testing the smoothness of this entire handoff.

Unsold item handling

Any unsold items automatically return to your lot inventory and are ready to include in your next event. We are testing that this transition is seamless and nothing falls through the cracks.
